Marcus Aurelius Antoninus Augustus, commonly referred to as simply Marcus Aurelius or simply Aurelius was a major stoic philosopher and Emperor of the Roman Empire from 161 to 180.
Works
His major work, Meditations was written during his last decade of life, and is a journal detailing his thoughts during his reign, much of which was spent on campaigns throughout the Empire.
